Next to the title tag, the meta description is the first time an actual reader is seeing what you’ve written.
For your local SEO marketing effort, it is the first change you have to influence the reader, and what you want to influence that reader to do is to click on your page.
First I’ll explain what you say, then I’ll explain where you see it, then I’ll show where you set it.
Meta Description: What you say
Think of a meta description as a headline. It should be enticing enough to encourage the reader to read the article.
You should use some combination of statements and questions, where (if space permits) the last statement is some form of “click here now”.

Where do you set the meta description?
You set the meta description in your SEO plugin. In the example below the plugin being used is the All in One SEO Pack.
Where do you see the meta description?
