Recall that PPC ads are the alternative form of web site marketing, it is NOT local SEO marketing.

PPC ads appear above the organic results and are highlighted by a slightly pink background. They also appear on the right side of the screen.

They provide for relatively little space to display your message. The actual ad itself is no more than three lines long.

In this limited space the advertiser tries to say something compelling enough that someone who is interested in their product or service is enticed to click on their ad.

When the web users does click on the ad, the web user is then taken to a landing page on the website of the advertiser.
