Having your website achieve a good ratio of page views to visitors requires that your visitors “turn the page” which is the actual term used for when someone reads more than one page on your website.
Enticing your readers to turn the page is very important to the success of your local SEO marketing efforts.
There are two primary strategies to achieve this. Use both.
This article is part of a series about local SEO marketing. For access to all the articles in the series, click on the link in the prior sentence.
The first strategy is to write articles in a series (such as this series). If the reader likes the first article they read, they may read more.
When you do this, make sure they know there is a series of articles and make sure they know how to get to the “lead” post.
Another advantage is that lead post becomes a pillar post. A concept you will learn in a later article.
The second strategy is to break long topics up into small articles
that link to each other. Newspapers websites do this often, and now you know why.
If you have 1,000 words of something to say, break it up into four articles of 250 words each, clearly identify each articles as part 1, part 2, etc, and link all four articles together.
You will find more information about local SEO marketing
by reading the entire series of articles.
