Relative to publishing frequency, what is the multiplier effect and why do I need to know about it?

What you need to know is doubling your publishing frequency increases your traffic levels by a factor of five!

Site A

  • 240 posts in total
  • 2.7 posts per day
  • 167,024 page views in total
  • That works out to 695.6 views per post
Site B
  • 372 posts in total
  • 4.1 posts per day
  • 494,066 page views in total
  • That works out to 1,328.1 views per post
Site C
  • 533 posts in total
  • 5.9 posts per day
  • 836,464 page views in total
  • That works out to 1,569.3 views per post

As you can easily see, when we increased the publishing frequency from 2.7 posts per day to 5.9 posts per day (slightly more than twice as many posts), we increased the page views by a factor of 5.

Alternatively, when you halve the publishing frequency, you decrease the traffic by 4/5ths.

This is for real. We have seen this over and over.

Hello there! Quick question that’s totally off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My weblog looks weird when browsing from my iphone4. I’m trying to find a template or plugin
that might be able to resolve this issue. If you have any suggestions,
    please share. With thanks!
