How does the frequency of publishing effect local SEO marketing traffic levels?

In short, when you double the rate at which you publish articles, your website will experience a five fold increase in traffic.

Alternative, when you half the rate at which you publish articles, your website will experience a five fold decrease in traffic.

Where did I get these numbers? In the 18 months that I worked with Bill Belew I had access to data he had collected over time. He had conducted an experiment on this very question using three different websites with three different publishing schedules.

So I’m not guessing. I know.

The next important question should be “How often is often?”.

I know people who manage business websites who have told me “I blog a lot. At least two posts a week”.

I don’t mean to burst your bubble, but two posts a week is NOT a lot.

Two posts a day is not even a lot.

If you want to grow your traffic levels to 25,000 visitors per month, such that 0.%5 to 1.0% of them convert and become paying customer (125 to 250 new customers per month), you need to publish three to six posts A DAY!

That is not a typo, I did say three to six posts per day.

Before you write me off as a lunatic, we know this. This is not a hypothesis. We have done this over and over.
