SEO: Search Engine Optimization

A web article (also known as a blog post) is properly optimized for search engines, it strikes an effective balance between meeting the needs of what search engine spiders deem to be interesting, and being interesting to a web visitor.

When you strike that balance properly, the post is said to be optimized.

 When a website contains more relevant articles on a certain subject for a certain set of keyword phrases, that website is said to be optimized.

When the article is incredibly well written from the perspective of a website visitor, but the website is not deemed to be interesting by the search engine spiders, the best content ever written will go unread.

When a website meets all the criteria for the search engine spiders to deem the website interesting, but the articles provide no useful information and/or are just plain boring, website visitors come to the web page and immediately leave the website. This is called a bounce.

A high bounce rate will diminish the ranking of your website, so a high quantity of low quality articles will give your website a ranking boost for a short while only.

Maintaining a high ranking for forever and a day requires a high quantity of high quality articles written as described in this series of articles.
