It’s really surprising to me how effective simply using location names is at improving your local SEO marketing efforts.

It does not result in all your web visitors being local, but it sure helps. You will still get web site visitors and page views from the other side of the world, but they will be far far fewer than the number of your local visitors.

I know it sounds too simple to be true, but it works. I’ve done it.

Examples are:

  • Solera Home Improvement provides XYZ services to the residents of Cupertino, CA.
  • The best auto glass replacement in Camden, NJ is to be had from ACME auto glass.
  • Tires Are Us has the best deals on tires in all of Seattle, WA.

You want to use the name of the city with the same “density” as you use your keyword phrase, which is twice per every 100 words.

As this article is around 200 words, if I was targeting Camden, NJ I would use that name four times in the article.

I know this sounds too good to be true, but it’s true. I’ve successfully done it.
