Why is Generating Sales Leads through Web Marketing Hard?

Sometimes it feels a bit ironic that while know how to generate sales leads through web marketing is easy, doing it is hard.

There is no black magic to successfully attracting customers via the web.

While the above quote is absolutely true, and there is no black magic, what makes it hard is the consistency and persistence that is required.

The central activity of turning your website into a lead generating machine is content and publishing. 21st century marketing looks like journalism, and does so in many ways.

Figuring out what you want to say, how you want to say it, and who you want to say it to, is relatively easy. It’s a one time effort, it requires creativity, and you may revisit it every six months or so.

The hard part is publishing blog articles (post) that do the above on a rigid and unforgiving publishing schedule.

Studies how websites that are updated more often attract more traffic and generate more leads.

What makes this hard is you MUST (upper case is intentional for emphasis) publish multiple times a day.

AT LEAST every twelve hours, preferably every eight, and even better still, every six.

This is where you need consistency and persistence.

Having said that, once you get this down, you will leave your competition in the dust.
