Why do news websites consistently outrank business blogs?

Today’s question is…. Why do news websites consistently outrank business blogs when it comes to Internet search?

The answer is really quite simple. News websites, due to their very nature, meet three of the most important criteria to being found online.

And that is, they are very large repositories of content that is of high quality, and is updated frequently.

That will get you found.

So the closer you come to that ideal within your industry or industry niche, the higher your website will rank.

It’s very helpful to think of your website not so much as a piece of direct marketing, but as an online magazine serving your industry that has one advertiser, and that advertiser of course is your business.
