How to create fresh and quality content often

What are your marketing failures? Here is how to improve your strategy

Nothing teaches success like failure.

Has all your small business marketing worked? Like most of us, some has worked well, some has worked marginally, while others have been a colossal failure.

Focusing on your past marketing failures will improve your future efforts.

It’s not necessarily a case of learning what not to do (although there is some of that), it’s also a case of learning what to do different, what to do better.

Do you measure your marketing effectiveness at the regular intervals? If not, why not?

The following are ways on how to improve your marketing strategies.

Improve your sales and marketing alignment.

If your business sales and marketing efforts are working together well, pat yourselves on the back, but don’t rest of your laurels.

You can still improve their performance by the following ways.

  • Schedule regular meetings with your marketing and sales teams.
  • Take a survey asking your sales team the effectiveness of your marketing team and visa versa.
  • Pour through your website analytics to learn what content has the greatest draw and traction.
  • Map your content to your sales funnel, and audit your content to figure out what aspects of your sales funnel are not yet represented by content..

As much as this auditing activity is hard, the results can be amazing.

Create more content

Do you experience the challenges of coming up with fresh and quality content?

Look at your market trends and get more familiar with the content that resonates with your audiences. Do this by going through your website analytics as well as by reading the blogs of companies you compete with as well as companies who provide goods and services that complement yours.

This will help you create effective blog posts, eBooks, and everything else you find important enough to write about in the future.

Focus on the Entire Customer Lifecycle

Therefore, as much as you enjoy creating top of funnel content, also create middle and bottom of your funnel content.

Creating content is not enough. Promote it. Share it.

Social media is the great way to promote your content and create some time to respond to the feedback and discussions.
