To Be Heard, Explain How You Solve a Big Problem in a Simple Way

Getting the attention of your desired audience online is not easy. We’re all bombarded with messages every day. Email, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc. It’s too many and it’s hard to keep up.

I know it’s easier said than done, but if you want people to pay attention to what you’re saying, explain to them how you solve a big problem in a simple way.

I know I say that rather casually and make it sound easy and I know it’s not easy, but before you can figure out how you explain this it helps to realize that you need to.

I’ll use as an example a seemingly shy 13 year old boy from Kenya who was invited to give a TED Talk and was given a standing ovation.

He got a standing ovation because what he said was truly meaningful.

The video is below and runs 7:20. For an excellent example of what I mean, please take the time to watch the video.

If that video made you think you don’t have an equivalent story, you’ve haven’t thought about your story enough.

And if you have thought about your story a lot and you can’t figure out how to fit it into such a narrative, you’re not necessarily doing anything wrong, you’re just not doing anything better. You’re just like the other guys filling the Internet with the same old stories.

I’ll use myself as an example, and I freely confess my story did not come to me right away. It took about a year of experimenting with “packaging”.

The big problem with Inbound Marketing is it’s expensive. A quality agency will run you $2,500 a month. The $500 a month services are a rip off. Just say no.

If you want to do it yourself with the HubSpot tool, you must commit $800 a month to the tool, then still invest the needed time and energy (yes there is a $200 a month version of HubSpot, but it’s pretty useless so I dismiss it).

We solve that problem. We make Inbound Marketing accessible to businesses who otherwise can not afford it.

Enter Inbound Marketing University. For a measly $47 a month, we help you learn how to do Inbound Marketing (short focused webinar style lessons) AND provide you with a community of like minded people in other businesses to link to, and who link to you.

The community involvement of sharing posts (linking to, commenting upon, and sharing via social media) lifts the website rankings of everyone who participates.

So for $47 a month and sweat equity, we ensure you’re not left behind by the Digital Marketing Divide created by the fact that quality Inbound Marketing is expensive.
