Tell Your Story Well on Your Website
This is harder than it seems at first because most entrepreneurs and businesses aren’t sure what their stories are.
A strongly worded piece of advice…. your story is NOT focused on you.
Your prospects and clients don’t care about you. Your story is about them, and most importantly how they’re the hero of the story. Of course you help them become so, which is why they need you.
Take some time. Try out various versions. Test them on people. See what creates the strongest positive reaction.
Summarize Pieces of it via Social Media Marketing
Think of social media as headlines to your blog posts and web pages.
While some social media headlines can be rather long (Facebook and LinkedIn), in a perfect world every update will trigger curiosity which causes people to follow the link back to your website.
For that reason I suggest you study what makes for good strong headlines. A great source can be found by clicking the link in the first sentence of this section.
The most important think to remember is you’re trying to appeal to the person at an unconscious level.

Refer Back to Your Website
Then as alluded to in the prior section, you want the social media marketing update to link back to a piece of relevant content on your website. That content can be a blog post, a video, an infographic, etc.
The main thing is it answers a question or makes one main point.
The synergy between social media marketing and content is created simply by staying on topic through the thread. The social media update and the blog post it links to have to be the same.
The social media update is the headline version, and the blog post is the article version.
