How many times have you seen a similar message LAST WEEK?

I even had young lady tell me over a set of LinkedIn messages that if your LinkedIn profile doesn’t have your prospects running to you and buying, you’re doing it wrong.
If lead generation was consistently that easy, all those people selling their systems would not exist. There would be no need for them to fulfill.
In what I consider to be an interesting bit of irony, the existence of so many people selling lead generation systems (LinkedIn, face to face networking, webinars, etc) contradicts their claim.
If it was as easy as they say, everyone would have it down.

That system is called……………. perseverance.
As Bruce Lee said…. “Learn from others, take what works, reject what doesn’t, and add what is uniquely your own”.
Bottom line…. Try, test, try, test, try, test. and keep trying and keep testing.
In regards to the young lady mentioned earlier, at some point in our conversation she asked me how my business was growing. I replied “slow but steady”, to which she replied “The operative word there is slow”. But no, the operative word is “steady”.

The catch is it takes months, and in the meantime you see no tangible results.
In a LinkedIn discussion an SEO Consultant commented that it can be hard to measure the hard dollar ROI of Inbound Marketing.
I replied saying that is not true, it’s just that for the first several months it’s negative, then in a very short time it rises to near infinity.
What makes it “hard” to measure is SEO consultants can be uncomfortable with the several months of negative ROI. It’s not hard to measure, it’s hard to talk about.
