link building strategies for your small business.

The importance of good link building to small businesses.

A small business website is not enough. You want your crowd to find it.

One of the key factors (still) to being found online is who links to you.

By building links to your business website, you attract greater authority and more traffic.

Good link building is very important for your Search Engine Optimization efforts.

The following are link building strategies for your small business.

Publish blogs post on your business website

Make sure that you write blog posts on your website and schedule them to be published often (every 12 hours or so). The frequency of publishing is more important than most people realize.

In general, the more often you update your website, the higher it will rank.

Focus on Quality

To determine what “quality” is, perform a search for a search term you would like to rank for. Read the top 3 organic results.

Those results are what Google understands to be the highest quality articles for that search phrase.

Write something better, but understand better does not always mean longer.

To quantify what “better” means, first determine if for that search query someone is trying to find something, learn something, or do something.

Then with that user intent in mind, ask yourself what will make for a “better” post, where better does a better job at helping the user find, learn, or do something.

By doing this, it will help you build your business reputation and definitely provide back links to your small business website.

Make use of social media

Set up your small business profile on social media network such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.

Provide updates concerning the problems your desired audience has, and talk a little about how you help solve them.

Do NOT buy links

As a small business owner, don’t be tempted to buy links. Remember that those companies offering ‘high-quality links’ are working contrary to Google’s quality guidelines and Google has a history of being really good out filtering out websites that cheat in this way.

Link building strategy for small businesses can be sometimes tricky. But when your small business gets a good standing and you provide good content to your audience, natural links back to your business website just start showing up.
