Assuming you sell coffee or some coffee related product or service, don’t try to achieve a high ranking for the phrase “coffee” rather go for a 3 or 4 word keyword (topic) phrase that describes in more detail more specifics about not just your solution, but what problem it solves.

  • Do you provide a service of small business coffee supply solutions?
  • Do you provide a product that enables a unique and delicious way to prepare coffee?
  • Do you provide interesting specialty coffees?

This concept is valid no matter what product or service you provide. If you provide home owner services (remodeling, landscaping, etc) geographic identifies (names of cities and metropolitan areas) are very effective ways of narrowing your niche.

In summary, narrowing your niche narrows your competition and allows you to obtain a high ranking quicker.
