Permission Based Marketing and Local SEO Work Together

Permission based marketing is a phrase used to describe various forms of marketing where the consumer gives you permission to send them marketing messages.

Examples are:

  • Opt in email lists
  • Facebook business page likes
  • Business twitter handles
  • Local SEO Marketing, which is also known as:
    • Inbound Marketing
    • Content Marketing
    • Web Marketing
    • Organic Search Engine Marketing

The most effective form of permission based marketing is the last one mentioned, local seo marketing.

Why?

A purchase is much more likely to occur when someone is thinking of your company at the time they have a need for your product or service.

The other forms of permission based marketing identified above meet the criteria of “thinking of your company”.

Only Inbound Marketing (of which local SEO marketing is one variant) meets the further criteria of “at the time….”.

This is because local SEO marketing is based on organic search.

When you stop a minute to think of it, it’s obvious the advantage organic search brings to the equation.

When someone winds up on your website via organic search, you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are interested in some aspect of your product or service. If they were not they would never wind up on your website.

Need organic traffic? What business doesn’t.
