Local SEO Marketing Tools: More Traffic and Lead Generation

The title of this post is a bit misleading. You probably expected to find a list of useful tools to assist you in implementing and monitoring your local SEO marketing strategy.

As I am in the local SEO marketing business full time, tool vendors periodically ask me to look at their products. Although I rarely find a product I consider to be truly deficient, none of the tools being promoted to me are (in my opinion) worth the money being asked, even when it’s only $9.99 per month.

In my humble opinion, there are three tools you need to use, and they are all free.

The purpose of these tools is to allow you to monitor critical data related to your search rankings and conversions.

All I’ve ever needed are; Google Webmasters Tools, Bing Webmaster Tools, and Google Analytics.

You will need to invest time and energy into learning how to use them effectively, but that is true of every tool you make use of.

It’s not the case that “free is good” (although free IS good), but rather these are EXCELLENT tools.

The tool we all really need (the one that enforces best practices over the entire website during your publishing process) does not yet exist (we’re probably going to create it soon), but in the meantime, these three tools allow you to know what adjustments and course corrections make sense.
