Lead Generation thru Content Marketing is Business Blogging

Content marketing is an effective strategy for attracting your audience to your website, then converting some of them into prospects for your business.

Content marketing is when you publish content that members of your target market will find useful and relevant. For best results you publish this content to your website.

You do so in small snippets, at frequent intervals, for an extended period of time.

This turns your website into a dynamic website with interactive capabilities.

Dynamic means you are updating the content frequently (multiple times each day).

Interactive means your readers can leave comments.

Another name for effective content marketing is blogging.

However do not confuse effective business blogging with what I’ll call hobby blogging.

There is nothing casual about effective business blogging.

For it to work for you, you must be willing to commit and you must be willing to put in the needed effort.

You must generate multiple snippet posts a day (somewhere between 2 and 5 – more is better) and one or two anchor posts (longer and better researched) per week.

The snippet posts get the attention of the search engines and bring your audience to your website.

The snippet posts each answer one question.

The snippet posts give authority and relevance to your entire website, where the combination of snippet and anchor posts attracts your readers and converts some of them into prospects.

Do not let the label “blogging” intimidate you. Content marketing (aka Blogging for Business) is THE most effective form of marketing that exists at the beginning of the 21st center.

It’s the best thing since the invention of the search engine.
