This post is part of a series about the Internet marketing strategy I call Inbound Marketing, and is also part of a sub-series about the preparation that goes into a successful Inbound Marketing effort. To access those articles, click either of the links in the prior sentence.
This post explains how you implement your website conversion strategy to be the first few steps of your sales funnel.
Zippe.biz helps you generate quality leads for your business through your website.
The single most important point here is that conversion is a process, not a button (the image shows a Call to Action, which is one step within a conversion process).
Your conversion process may be only one step. This is often the case when you sell fairly inexpensive products. People put less though into buying a thing for $5 than they do into buying anything for $10K.
Your website conversion may be multiple steps (two steps if very common). For example, let’s pretend you sell Inbound Marketing services.
At the end of every blog post, you insert a CTA (Call to Action) button that suggests they watch a client testimonial. That takes them to a landing pager where a very short video plays where a person describes how Inbound Marketing drastically increased their lead flow and totally saved their business.
At the bottom of this page is another CTA which suggests they contact you for a consultation.
This is an example of a two step conversion process, implemented within your website.
This basic concept works for any product or service being sold via any website, but….. and this is important….. in order to implement this conversion strategy, you have to know it is the first few steps of your sales funnel.
