This post is part of a series about the Internet marketing strategy I call Inbound Marketing, and is part of a sub-series on how to ensure every blog post is of high quality from an SEO perspective. To access either of the lead posts, please click one of the links in the prior sentence.

Although what gets the attention of the search engines are shorter posts you schedule at frequent intervals (what’s important is the frequent intervals), your website does need longer posts as well.

Zippe.biz helps you generate quality leads for your business through your website.

The longer posts are not necessarily there for search benefits, but for overall marketing benefits.

Of course if you don’t have relevant visitors to your website, it doesn’t matter what’s on your website because nobody is seeing it.

However, once you do have visitors showing up, it’s important you present to them a professional image (assuming you are in fact trying to sell something via your website).

Longer posts, along with appropriate info graphics, and videos help do this.

The short snippet posts get the attention of the search engine robots, and each snippet post must answer one relevant question and thereby provide real value, but the snippet posts should also link to your longer better researched pillar posts, thereby elevating them in the eyes of the search engines.

When you seek back links, you link back to the pillar posts, not the snippet posts.

If you find a snippet post has become popular and has attracted a number of back links, consider expanding it into a proper pillar post.
