Creating an effective strategy that produces results to your small business

Inbound marketing strategies. How to set your key performance.

For small businesses who invest online, have the following set targets

Inbound marketing is a natural marketing strategy that produces results when done correctly. For small businesses with limited capital inbound marketing is THE way to go. It can be done inexpensively by even very small businesses.

However, creating an effective strategy that produces results to your small business requires you to commit to the effort. It never “just” happens. You have to make it happen.

Inbound Marketing for small businesses

But small businesses often don’t know how (or where) to start. They hear conflicting information from various experts. They try social media for a while. Then they generate a few blog posts, followed by a few videos.

This often results in a piecemeal approach that doesn’t work.

Creating an inbound marketing plan involves the following procedure:

Assess your customers

Understand your customers and learn their online behaviors as best you can. This helps you to start your inbound strategy from a nice angle. Also create a “persona” for your ideal client and build your strategy around them.

Optimization

The success of your small businesses depends on local Search Engine Optimization, social media marketing, and email marketing. The core activity of all this is generating and publishing useful content at frequent intervals. Your content gets the attention of the search engines (when you publish correctly) and is what you share on social media and via email.

Measuring your online success is also a critical

Once you have a clear image of your company goals, repeat the optimization process and measure your returns often until you achieve your set goals and objectives.

Tools to measure don’t have to cost. Google provides some excellent free tools, specifically Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
