How do you SEO to increase your small business website conversion rate

How can Search Engine optimization improve onsite conversion? Today I am providing an answer to this question.

I understand that when you think about Search Engine Optimization, you think about getting customers or visitors onto your business website and maybe onto certain landing pages.

Well, Search Engine Optimization is all about getting the higher rankings and gaining that visibility to earn those clicks.

However, you need to know that SEO can include other parts of your overall marketing strategies for example Search Engine Optimization can improve your website conversions.

So how do you use search engine optimization to increase your website conversion rate?

The following reasons provide answers….

  • Getting picked on a Search Engine Result Page (SERP) depends upon how interesting the title and the SEO meta description are. You set these in your WordPress SEO plugin (assuming you use WordPress). Being selected from a SERP is the first step in any website conversion.
  • Building an internal link hierarchy (over time) will elevate the pages being linked to in importance. They will start to show up higher in the SERPs. When you internally link to landing pages, you expose your landing pages to more visitors. More visitors will equate to more conversions.
  • Effective use of persuasive language in your blog post copy will help. Learn and study the use of “presuppositional phrases”. This will (as you get better at it) increase your website conversions.

To increase your website conversation rate, you need to maintain the right balance between your blog posts and landing pages being too empty (not enough words for good SEO) and to crowded (too many distractions for good conversion).

And of course, while it goes without saying it is also worth repeating…. provide relevant content that people will share on social networks.
