So how can you increase the power of LinkedIn strategy

How to use LinkedIn to increase engagement and build connections

When you sell to businesses, LinkedIn is a great social media platform for promoting your content. However most small business owners are using LinkedIn ineffectively.

It’s important to realize that while social media does generate some leads, the number is small when compared to generating leads through organic search (when done right).

Generating leads through organic search and website landing pages is called Inbound Marketing.

To support your inbound marketing strategy, you must create content on your website, and promote your content using social media platforms, such as LinkedIn.

How do you increase the power of LinkedIn to help you reach your goals?

Consider the following tips for Success

Write a stronger headlines

Headlines make or break the performance of content.

Great headlines that have impact to your readers also includes its length. Headlines on LinkedIn should be 80-120 character count. Also remember to test your headlines on CoSchedule for free.

Create easy to read content

Make your content easy to read with short paragraphs and lots of white space. Use subheads that are short and clear.

Most of us don’t “read” on line, but rather we scan. Write your stuff to be easy to scan.

Use visuals to boost engagement

Posts with videos and images capture the greatest number of shares, likes and views on LinkedIn. Therefore learn some simple basics of using visuals and try them on your posts.

Timing

Weekday’s morning, mid-day and evening are the best to schedule your post as there is more traffic at these times. But you need to test different times during these hours to determine the best for your target audience.

Inexpensive tools such as buffer and hootsuite can make this easy.

Considering the above will help you create great content on LinkedIn. Promoting your content is another step and  you can achieve this by having an updated profile and being somewhat active in groups. This will help you reach a larger audience..

LinkedIn is a great way to drive engagement and build stronger connections with your target audience, when you’re not too salesy and willing to post regularly and participate in some actual discussions.
