Types of content to produce in your website to generate traffic

How to use different types of content to attract , convert and nurture

……Continued from “How to generate traffic, convert and nurture your customers. Part one

On this post, I am going to take you through the types of contents that nurture leads into customers.

Website Content: Snippet Posts
Snippet posts are short and focused. Each post answers one question and/or conveys one main idea. They are between 200 and 300 words each and you publish them OFTEN. As in 2 to 3 times a day. While snippets provide useful information to your visitors, they do so in a way that catches the attention of the search engines, which is why frequency matters.

Snippet posts are the metaphorical work horses of your Content marketing strategy.

Website Content: Pillar Posts

Pillar posts are the website posts you’re really proud of. The ones that require detailed analysis and research, contain charts and graphs to backup the points you’re making, or possibly contain detailed “How to” information.

Social Media content

Social media posts are all about branding, not lead generation. Share your pillar posts and your best snippets. Don’t share all your snippets. It would be too much.

Email content. (Newsletter)
When it comes to nurturing your prospects into customers, email marketing strategy is one of the best. It’s cheap and focused.

Email content should be in a way that it keeps your brand at the front of their mind and encourage customers and prospects to still keep on with you.

Videos content

Video belongs in snippets, pillars as appropriate. The advantages of video are (primarily) two fold:

  1. Some people prefer to learn through video rather than reading.
  2. Video helps keep people on your website a little longer. We tend to read faster than we watch videos.

However, KEEP THEM SHORT (in general).

eBooks content
eBooks provide your website visitors something to get in exchange for their contact information.

It is what your Call to Action buttons take people to.

The quality of your eBooks is important. Don’t publish junk eBooks. Make them truly educational.

This will give you the opportunity to show the expertise in you and it helps in building trust with your customers.
