How to maximize the value of your existing inbound strategies

An Inbound Marketing strategy for small businesses is useful to have as part of the overall marketing efforts.

To attract new customers, educate customers, and draw in business you need a a website that ranks high and invites people in.

But did you know that you most likely already some level of Inbound Marketing in your business? Some common marketing efforts are very inbound, and this post shows you how to maximize the value of these existing inbound marketing strategies.

Video marketing strategy

Videos are one of the most regularly shared pieces of content.

Create videos with topics that will appeal to a broad audience to increase the chance of getting more customers. For small businesses, animated videos entertain and provide solution to customers about a particular problem.

Publish the video your YouTube channel (and if you don’t have one, start one), describe the video in the YouTube descriptions (search engines do much better with text than without it), then insert the video into a blog post on your website, below which is a full transcription of the video (the transcription is for the search engines).

Social media marketing

Social media is considered a main focus for inbound marketing for small businesses. Social media is global and if used correctly, it spreads your brands message within a short time.

When it comes to inbound marketing, use social media more to share important content with your followers, and think of it less as a direct means of generating leads.

Email marketing strategy

When used correctly, email marketing is an inbound marketing strategy that helps fills your funnel at the top. It’s also a great way to educate your prospects about your brand. Create your own email list by giving them an opportunity to sign up on your blogs and landing pages. Offer things of value (eBooks, etc) to people in exchange for their email address and name.

Inbound Marketing works with other marketing techniques to help you drop leads into your sales funnel and move your prospects through the sales funnel.
