How to educate your leads about your small businesses

How to educate and bring close your prospects

Prospects wants answers, not marketing fluff!!!!

To successfully nurture and close your prospects, you need to educate them. This accomplishes a number of things that are positive for your business: 1) It positions you as an expert, 2) It assures them you CAN help solve their problems, 3) It keeps them engaged.

Focus on their needs

As your prospects make steps through your sales process, make sure that you are giving them content that focuses on their needs (not yours) while letting them know how you can help solve their problems.

Focus on your prospects main problems and highlight key features of your product or service that benefits them.

Provide “middle-of-funnel” content to your prospects to educate them. Use success stories, testimonials, and other forms of social proof.

Distinguish your business and that of your competitors

Don’t trash your competitors (unless they’re truly evil like Monsanto or News Corp) but instead focus on what you do best or at the very least better than your competitors.

Nurturing your leads by competitive campaign focuses on distinguishing your product or service from those of your competitors. Just don’t be obnoxious about it.

Write your content in a way that make your prospects priorities first and foremost, and accentuates your small business over your competitors.

Show your business authority

As your prospects move closer to the end of your sales funnel, express to them how you will help them and why you’re the best choice.

At this stage, give them more detailed high-value content to establish your small business expertise.

Promotional

To get some prospects to close the deal, you may benefit from a promotion to trigger your prospects to make a purchase.

Consider giving out special pricing to your customers based on their specific problems or offering something for “free” on addition to the main offering. This is very effective.

Generally, lead nurturing is a very critical discipline for enabling your sales efforts to produce results.

The above strategies are important for small businesses.

As you begin your lead nurturing campaign, consider them.
