How to drive traffic to your landing page. Small business marketing

After creating nice landing pages on your small business website, it’s now time to drive potential traffic to your landing pages.

There are two main methods to directing traffic to your landing page. They include 1) free traffic and 2) paid traffic

But….as inbound marketers, we focus on free traffic to your small business website. Therefore….. To drive free traffic (also known as organic search traffic) to your website landing pages focus on the following strategies.


Leverage your blog –On your blog posts, add a call to action button that directs them to a landing page. Clicking your CTA there’s a strong probability they are qualified leads. Social media – When social media marketing is used effectively, you will see people follow you on social media accounts and this drives more visitors to your small business landing pages.

What matters most here is there is a good “flow” from the social media update to the landing page. Often a direct link from a social media post to a landing page fails, as every sees too many such “buy now” social media updates.

It may make more sense for the social media update to take people to a blog post that provides true value, and for the CTA at the bottom of the blog post to take visitors to your landing page.

The blog post provides some educational information with the implied promise that the eBook (or whatever) contains more.

Email marketing – is an impressive way of turning your prospects into your potential customers.

Therefore…Create a persuading and an informative email and add links that directs your visitors to your landing pages.

Remember that these are people who are interested in your product or service.

But….Once your site starts generating frequent leads,  it is not practical to manually send email to each and every one.
