Marketing automation myths for small businesses

How small businesses misunderstand marketing automation

Despite the growth of marketing automation’s popularity, there is still a lot of wrong information floating around out there about marketing automation.

Just “having” marketing automation is not enough. It must be used well. Having said that, while it takes time to implement a campaign and make adjustments to it as needed, anyone can learn to do it.

In this article, we are going to see what people say about marketing automation which is not true.

Marketing automation is only for marketers

Marketing automation for your small businesses facilitates your entire customer’s journey, from their first interaction with your small business to when they buy from your business, to how you support them down the road.

While marketing automation is a skill set someone has to learn, it’s not rocket science. It is pages on your website and email’s that tie the various pages together with a series of if then decisions.

If they opened the email, do this. If they opened the email AND clicked the link, do that.

Marketing automation is email marketing

Note that Email marketing is just part of marketing automation.

Email services allow you to send tailored emails to your customers and report on the success of your email marketing campaigns. When it comes to marketing automation, this is just part of it.

To succeed with marketing automation, you need a big marketing team

To succeed with marketing automation you do need someone to focus on it, but it’s not a full time job (or if it is you’re doing it wrong).

Whatever the size of your small business, it can use marketing automation.

In fact, automating lead nurturing helps your small business accomplish your goals and objectives.

In a very real sense, it doesn’t cost, it pays. It helps you convert leads into customers.

It is high time to take your time and think about marketing automation for your small business. Don’t be confused with the many information that you get from people about marketing automation.
