The best way to rank your website (and attract more visitors from organic search) is to publish a steady stream of quality content at regular and frequent intervals.

It’s an interesting dynamic that websites that more of us know about tend to (again, not always but mostly) rank higher in organic search.

This is because more of us link to the content on that website and more of us leave comments on the content on that website (each comment is an update to the website and sites that are updated more often tend to rank higher).

So You Promote Your Content

And this is where social media comes in.

While promoting your content via social media has not direct impact on your search ranking, it does bring in some traffic via social media, and the more people who see your stuff the more people there are to like your stuff enough to link to it and comment upon it, both of which DO have a direct positive impact on your SEO.
