mobile friendly website, mobile ready, google mobile friendly update

Everyone Needs a Mobile Friendly Website for Their Business, Now Stop the Hype

Mobile Friendly Website? Or Crash and Burn?

Are there really people who don’t already know they need a mobile friendly website?

I’ve seen so many over hyped claims about how the upcoming Google Mobile Friendly Update is the biggest Google update ever (it’s not), and how if your website is not mobile friendly by 21 Apr 2015 you’re going to suffer greatly (but actually you already are), that I’m starting to wonder.

Are these predictions of doom and gloom actually necessary?

Is it possible the Internet is still full of website that are not mobile friendly?

Is it possible there are people with websites that are not mobile friendly who truly don’t understand how they’re already missing out?

I’m not sure how to know, but I’m wondering.

Is Your Site Mobile Friendly?

Find out. Take the test. Link is below.

Google’s Mobile Friendly Test for Your Website

If it’s not, it’s NOT the case that you will be in big trouble on Apr 21st. You’re already in big trouble.

Here’s why.

If someone on a mobile device does an Internet search, and that search leads them to a site that is not mobile friendly, their experience of the site will be terrible, and they’ll leave.

Plain and simple.

Make The Upgrade! Now Would be a Good Time!

This is why NOW is the time to update your site if needed, but bear in mind, now is also 4 years too late.

If your site is WordPress, you’re in luck. You simply install a mobile ready plugin or you convert to a mobile ready theme (both of which are more involved that I just implied).

If your site is NOT WordPress, do yourself a BIG favor. As long as you need a new site, switch to WordPress.

Why? Because WordPress is the most SEO friendly webserver platform available. Period! End of Discussion.

If you want your website to be found via organic search, step 1 is to run WordPress.
