I’ve personally tried many different forms of marketing and I speak to others who’ve tried even more. One thing I have come to strongly believe is email marketing works.

No matter the size of your business, the time to start is now.

It’s also not just me saying it. I saw it on the Internet, so it MUST be true. But seriously…. I came across a well written article by Dan Shewan in which he provides three very strong success stories.

DIYNatual started as a hobby blog focusing on self-reliance and sustainable living. A combination of email marketing and a strong social media presence helped the people who started it transition from it being a hobby to it being their full time business.

Goat Milk Stuff, a small family run business that makes products from goat’s milk, grew beyond local craft fairs and trade shows using a combination of their website and their email newsletters. Because they write all their email’s themselves, their small business personality (which was important to them to preserve) was maintained as they grew.
