Does blogging generate business leads?

Done right, absolutely! If I called it Inbound Marketing, would you feel better?

So, what is the difference between Inbound Marketing and Blogging for Business?

None. Inbound Marketing IS Blogging for Business.

OK, so if blogging is such an effective way to generate business leads, why isn’t this discussed at more length by more marketing agencies?

Excellent question and I wish I knew the answer.

The best I can surmise is the word “blogging” has a connotation of “hobby” or “amateur” whereas the phrase “inbound marketing” or “local SEO marketing” sounds more professional.

I’m sure you’ve heard…. “A rose by any other name smells just as sweet”.

A lead generating business blog by any other name is just as effective.

So what exactly makes it effective? I’m glad you asked!

What you need to keep in mind is that everything you publish on your business blog is for the benefit of your audience. The people who have an interest in your product or service and some of whom are going to become customers.

HOWEVER…. in order to get your audience to read your posts, you must FIRST get the attention of the search engine robots.

So what do they want to see?

Fresh original content, and lots of it. The absolute best format for packaging and delivering this content is your blog.

 

When your business needs more traffic, more leads, and more business….. publish more often.
