Hello, I’m Kevin with Inbound Marketing University.
Today’s Inbound Marketing Minute addresses a feeling that every Inbound Marketing effort hits sooner or later and that’s when you feel that you’re being too repetitive in what you’re saying.
The reality is, there are only so many ways you can express a concept and make a point and sometimes your need to publish content daily can feel difficult to fulfill because you think that you’ve exhausted all of the possible topics.
The most important point to make in this video is that, while people read books and magazines sequentially, people do not read blogs sequentially. If you publish multiple blog posts that discuss different nuances of a certain topic, it is not the case that the people who read your blog will necessarily see all of them.
People who arrive at your website through organic search, or the people that you want the most, they will arrive at whichever of those articles most closely matched their search query.
This strategy of being somewhat, but not excessively repetitive, sometimes conflicts with people’s desire to promote everything they write to social media.
You do not have to promote every blog post you publish to social media. You need to crank out a steady stream of blog posts to your website and then promote the ones you are most proud of to social media and that solves the problem
