ABCs of Inbound Marketing: Consistency generates success

ABCs of Inbound Marketing: Consistency is a Primary Success Factor

This article is part of the larger series titled the ABC’s of Inbound Marketing. For access to the entire series select the link in the prior sentence.

There are four basic success principals involved in attracting your audience to your website:

  1. Quantity
  2. Quality
  3. Consistency
  4. Longevity

Consistency is not just publishing daily, it is publishing at regular intervals.

A love the metaphor that Inbound Marketing is like working out. To get benefit from it, you do it at regular intervals.

The core activity of Inbound Marketing is generating and publishing high quality content.

Relative to consistency is maintaining a regular frequency.

If you post twice a day, do so at 12 hour increments.

If you post three times a day, do so at 8 hour increments.

If you post four times a day, do so at 6 hour increments.

How often your website is updated is a search signal, and seems to be a primary search signal, based on how important it is to the success of your efforts.

It’s so critical that even if your post rarely (by which I mean a few times a week) you should space out your posts at regular intervals.
