Why Google Plus for small business?

Google Plus

Google Plus is the social media networking site from Google. In the same way that Facebook is at facebook.com, Google Plus is at plus.google.com.

However it is a mistake to think of Google Plus as “just” another social media networking sites.

Google Plus Circles

The reason Google Plus is not “just” another social media networking sites is because of the creation of “circles” and the integration of circles into (almost) every other aspect of Google, including Search.

What Circles Are

Google Plus circles are nothing more than collections of people, grouped into these arbitrary groups called circles.

You define your circles.

You define how many you have, what they’re called, and who goes in which circle. It is a way of you organizing what you see, and from whom.

The key search benefit of Google Plus is people who have you in their circles see your Google Plus updates in their search results when what they search on matches your Google Plus update. And because they have you in a circle, that search results appears very high in the search engine result page.

There are LOTS of other advantages to Google Plus Circles, to where I predict one day we will simply call them Google Circles.

Direct Message Anyone

More specifically, you can direct message anyone who has you in a circle, or anyone whom you share a Google Plus Community with.

You do this the same way you publish any post or update.

The only difference is rather than distribute the update to “Public”, you remove that and only publish the update to the one person whom you want to see it.
