Do you struggle coming up with your weekly email update?

Are there weeks you get nothing and don’t send one?

Maybe your or your email editor gets sick and you feel that there is a hole left in your email marketing strategy.

So how do you fill that blank space?

Consider re purposing your old content.

The following are some ways on how you can go about it.

Scale back

Emails don’t need much content. Get one of your 200 word blog posts and reword it for an email.

Your email should focus one issue that will make them more likely to click and therefore repurpose your old content that got a life left in it.

Re purpose your content that didn’t get enough attention

If you got a content that you think need to get more attention than it got, you can repurpose it on your emails.

Send a link of that content to your email readers.

Always remember to encourage them to follow you on social media and website blog.

Use your greatest hits

Get your top performing blog post and turn them into your email update. Great content are major lead generators and they deserve a place in your weekly email update. If you get no time to create your email update, re purpose your greatest hits.

Alternatively login to twitter analytics and see what tweet in the last month or two was the most popular. Then generate an email on that topic.

Resend a recent email to non-openers or non-clickers

Re-send your email message to people who didn’t open it or click it the first time you sent it.

Just change the subject line some.
