How to grow the quality of your leads with email marketing

Many small businesses don’t email out to their customers every week because they don’t know how to. They don’t know what to say.

They create excuses to not email out and communicate. Others will say that if they email their customers regularly, they will unsubscribe or see them a spammers.

Email marketing is one of the easiest and most cost effective ways of communicating to potential customers. The following are steps to perfect email marketing and why every small business should not just consider this strategy, but do it.

When you start to send emails or newsletters to your customers, don’t stop after 2 weeks. Keep it up. Crafting emails and newsletter take time, but never give up. You can always find a way to say something to your customers.

Do not over complicate your strategy

Keep your strategy simple. There’s no reason to over complicate your emails.

Don’t say too much in one email

One of the mistakes some businesses make is to send out long emails that discuss 5, 6, or even 8 different topics. When you get those email’s do you read them? Then why would you expect the people on your list to?

You might be frustrated when you don’t see results immediately after starting email marketing. Email marketing is like any other form of marketing. It requires patience and consistency.

Generally when it comes to email marketing, there are 2 types.

  1. Newsletters
  2. Automation emails (DRIP campaigns and Marketing Automation)

Newsletters are the simplest where everyone gets the same email at the same time. DRIP campaigns are more complex and require more setup, but have proven themselves to be more effective.
