How to make your content marketing stands out

Tips and tricks on how to make your content work consistently

What is a successful blog?

Creating a consistent stream of posts that resonates and get shares requires tactical insights.

The internet is full of content and if your content does not interest your audience, then your blog will not deliver visitors or leads.

Everyone sometimes creates a post they thing is really great, but it then gets zero traction. But don’t worry…

This article gives you practical tips and tricks for making your content work more consistently.

Create resources beyond your actual blog post

First think about who you’re writing to (not for, but to). Then identify the type of “resources” your desired readers will find valuable and worth reading. For link bait content, the question becomes “will find valuable and worth downloading” in exchange for an email.

Some of those “resources” may be simply answers to common questions (one question and answer per blog post). Some of those resource may be more structured, such as eBooks that describe some idea in great detail. Others may be check lists. The important thing is that your target audience find them useful.

Re-use your old content

Blogging is not the only type of content that you can create.

Other forms of content includes

  • Videos
  • Podcast interviews
  • Presentations
  • Infographics
  • eBooks and guides

If you have an old content in your library that you think can be added into a new post, you don’t have to write from scratch.

For example if you created a video that illustrates how to use your products, you can embed that video directly into a section of a new blog post on the same topic.

Conversely, if you have several blog posts on a certain theme, you can create an eBook from those blog posts.

Repurposing content is a great way to attract people who prefer “other” formats of content (i.e.: some people prefer to read while others prefer to watch videos, some people prefer to read short blog posts whereas others prefer a more comprehensive single document).
