Content marketing ideas for small businesses

Significant tactics for better content marketing strategies

Majority of small businesses are blogging but some experience sub-standard results.

There are ways of blogging that work better than others, where by “work” we mean attracts your crowd through organic search.

Small businesses need content for to attract visitors, but they need to do it right. Having online strategies to increase engagements, isn’t enough.

So how do you start?

Understand your audience needs and wants

Create content that informs and provides value to your target audience. The content you publish is NOT about you. Your prospects and customers care way more about themselves than they care about you.

To be successful, focus on them.

Effectively reach your segments

Some companies have a variety of target audiences and while this is counter intuitive to some, you want to provide content to all of them.

Google tends to rank busier sites higher, so one of the best ways to attract people who will buy is to attract people who won’t.

That is why publishing content for ALL your desired market segments (and even more) IS the right thing to do. Publishing content within too narrow a set of topics will hamper your results.

Use Images

On average about 10% of visitors who arrive via organic search arrive from image searches. It varies from type of business (jewelry, art, and food sites have quite a bit more). Content with relevant images captures the attention of more visitors, which in turn makes your site busier.

So as a small business, you MUST include at least one image in each blog post..

Boosting your content marketing ROI

If you want to increase your content marketing results this is the way go

  1. Blog often.
  2. Transform your articles into a resource center.
  3. Do research.
  4. Provide analysis.
