You also need to hear that video is changing and your consumers need different types of experiences from your video strategy this coming year (2016.)

Discussed below are some of the new techniques you need to consider in your video marketing campaign in 2016.

Make your Videos Interactive

If you want to engage with more consumers, you must consider creating and sharing interactive video in 2016. Interactive videos will allow your audience to be engaged by you as much as possible.

Don’t be intimidated by the term “interactive video”. It just means a video that can be interacted with in any way. YouTube has had clickable annotations (their older technology) and now has clickable cards (their newer technology) which allows you to take people from a YouTube video to a page on your website.

The cards (and annotations if you prefer the old style) even work when you embed the YouTube video into a page or post on your website.

Interactive videos will also give you the opportunity to multiple target your audience. This is possible in a way that if you have two target segments, you can basically send them the same video, as each segment will choose on how to use the video.

On YouTube you would do this by uploading two slightly different copies of the same video, with different titles and descriptions, and more importantly with different clickable cards.

Invest in Social Video

As a small business, you need to focus on social video for your video marketing campaigns because of the branding power behind social media. Social video offers much more engagement with the customer, and this engagement will move them down the sales funnel from lead to customer.

Customers are more likely to buy your product or service after seeing an interactive video on social media network. Video has the potential to push your audience from the lead level to the analysis level of your sales funnel.

Your audience doesn’t need to take time and ask for more information when a video provides a solid explanation about you help solve their issues. How using your products and services helps, right on their social media feeds.

However, remember to create videos that talk about your prospects and their needs, rather than you business, your products, and your services.

I don’t mean to be rude, but your prospects care more about themselves than they do about you.
