How does Google Plus Help You Grow Your Search Ranking?

Google+ is Integrated with All of Google

Including search and that is the most important point.

I know GooglePlus is ghost town of a social media site. I know GooglePlus has far fewer users than Facebook and LinkedIn and everything else.

I also know GooglePlus updates often rank higher in search than the webpages they link to.

It’s that last statement that makes GooglePlus relevant.

As more and more people catch on to that idea, use of GooglePlus will increase slowly over time.

It’s all About Circles

Circles is not just a Google+ concept, it’s a Google concept. You can use circles to determine who does and does not receive an invitation to a meeting, to determine who does and does not receive an email, and who does and does not have access to a video on YouTube.

But most importantly, when people have you (or your business page) in one of their circles, their Google searches will include your Google+ updates when your update matches what they’re searching for.

So the key is to get more and more people in your circles.

And the way you do that is by participating on GooglePlus.

And the funny thing is, once you do so you’ll see it’s not quite the ghost town you heard it was.
