Why small businesses should focus on Facebook as well as LinkedIn

Facebook is a HUGE social media network, even by the standards of huge. As of early 2016, 1.65 BILLION people actively use Facebook every month.

Your customers and prospects are on Facebook. If you’re not using Facebook to marketing your business, you’re missing out. If you ARE using Facebook to market your business, chances are your efforts can be more effective.

Small businesses have put more focus on LinkedIn and Twitter as their social media marketing strategies leaving Facebook with the idea that it’s for engagements and entertainment and it does not lead to conversations.

With so many of your people being on Facebook, marketing via Facebook is not just a good idea for small businesses but it is a MUST.

Facebook allows content sharing, Facebook is Universal- Facebook Live, messenger etc and Facebook is effective.

For you to be effective with your Facebook, consider the following…

Focus on lead generation

Get your landing pages on your Facebook pages and use your blog post to promote your lead generation efforts. Lead generation is a must for every small business and Facebook serves it up better than other social platforms.

Use videos

Use video to show various aspects of your company as this entices your audience to stay with your content a little longer. Things to show are how your products or services solves problems, and how your company beliefs and values are worth supporting. Also use office photos and other “quirky” stuff on your Facebook page as this gives your audience a clearer picture of what it means to work with you.

Create great content

You need to get people’s attention on Facebook by creating and sharing useful content (understand that great means useful, not just entertaining). This means you need to create more and more content that is properly optimized with your landing pages and your calls to action. This will help your people get to your website easily.

And always remember that on Facebook you don’t just focus on your business alone. Have your customers in mind. After all, it’s not about you, it’s all about them.
