When to Hire Out? When to do In-House?

Life is an endless series of trade-offs, and one big one is time vs money.

Doing Inbound Marketing requires time, effort, and focus.

The advantage of hiring out is that you save time, effort, and focus at the expense of money.

The advantage of doing the work in house is you save cash, but people need to spend time, effort, and focus.

There is of course always a third way which is to manage the overall process, do some work in house, and sub-contract out the rest.

For Small Businesses, the Questions are…

Can you budget $2,500 a month for Inbound Marketing?

If the answer is no, you won’t find a quality agency to do this for you.

You will find agencies and consultants, but unless they’re doing you a special favor, they can not realistically charge less than that.

The reason is the money fee you pay has to include the generation of content and we’re talking at least 60 short posts and a few long posts per month.

Can Someone in Your Business Devote 1 to 2 Hours a Day?

If the answer is no, you have to hire out.

If the Answer to Both Questions is No….
