Video marketing is an effective small business marketing strategy. This is because the costs of making and hosting videos have plummeted. People now shoot quality videos on smart phones, host them on YouTube, and link them into blog posts.

Stream live events

Of course this assume you have live events, but if you do sharing live events with your audience can make them feel more connected to your small business. Sharing live events helps your audience to feel part of the event irrespective of the physical location they are in.

What should you do? When sharing an event to your customers, keep track of audience comments and respond to them.

Host Interviews with some of your clients and stream them online

This is especially powerful for professional service providers like CPAs, doctors, insurance brokers, etc. If you’re staffed for it you can even create the ability for people to call in an ask questions. With voice over IP telephones, even this is now really cheap.

Interviews increase interactions with your audience and provide validation of how you solve problems.

What should you do? While conducting the interviews, don’t make it too personal and ask your interview subject general questions in which they can talk about how they solved problems (with the assistance of your product or service preferbly).

Provide live videos showing what your product is made of

Unless you work in a meat butchering factory (cause who wants to see that), show them how you do what you do. This is a great way to increase trust with your customers.

What should you know? Your customers generally see you as the final product. They don’t know what happens in between here and showing them what goes through will increase their engagement with your business.

Live video conducting a training is good when it provides real answers to real problems., the main aim here is to create engagement with your audience.

A training video to your audience can show how they will use your product. Also on a training video, allow for people to ask questions for clarification. It’s easy to accept messages via some form of chat (Google Hangout, Slack, etc).
