Every problem you have in your business can be solved with more sales!

That is not to say that generating more sales will in and of itself rid your business of poor operations and inefficiencies, but it will bring in more cash that will give you more resources with which to solve your other problems.

But how do you boost your small business sales on a small budget?

Talk to Your Current Customers

By building a strong relationship with your current customers, you have a source of valuable feedback. They will respect you for reaching out and they are likely to share current problems they are experiencing.

Therefore, listen to your customers and analyse how to best solve the challenges they are facing. This both makes the relationship stronger AND helps you identify problems to solve to help bring in new customers..

Promotion boundaries

Offering discount on your products makes your products more attractive to some of your customers. But always remember that it’s important to define the time frame of your promotions and the scheduling thereof. Some customers will continue doing business with you when you’re not running a promotion. Some will wait for the next one.

Listen

This is the real power of talking to them. To understand and address your potential customer’s needs you must listen to them. Ask questions where possible to get more information from them, understand their issues and problems, understand how you can help them better.

Use Social Media

Social media is a great way to increase customer awareness about your small business.

Social media is not just a tool for making sales. Social media is a tool to communicate with your customers and prospects. Use it as a personal touch point with your audience.
