There are certain personality traits that definitely makes one a better content marketing person. The top 10 traits are listed below.

Can Tell a Story

Content marketing is not all about stories, some of it is boring dry facts. However being able to describe things in ways that connect emotionally or to describe things in ways that stimulate desire is a must. Sometime as an experiment describe something fairly mundane on some social media in very expressive first person language (cooking a salmon, taking a picture, being at the park with your kids) and play with it until the comments you get show people are responding to your expressiveness.

Is Curious

You’ve got to have at least 1,000 things to say about your topic. As such the topic has to be of great interest to you.  Being the kind of person who finds the world to be a fascinating place and finding interesting aspects of even boring things and situations is of enormous help to content marketing people.

Focuses on Deadlines

You have a publishing deadline to meet and meet it you will, come heck or high water. You find a way to publish fresh, useful, and relevant posts twice or three times a day, on schedule. You know how to find a rhythm and make it work.

Is Proactive

This is related to being able to focus on deadlines, but is not the same thing. Like all good journalists you will constantly looking for an open to new stories you think your audience will find interesting. You will take notes during the day (and night) when something catches your attention or otherwise pops into your head. You will even find some of your best ideas bubble up when you’re doing something unrelated to your content marketing efforts.
