Social Media Marketing | In Lead Generation sometimes Less is More

When it comes to Social Media Marketing, less is more.

What I specifically mean by this is should focus on efforts on the one area that really drives results, and spent no time (maybe no time at all) on what does not.

First let’s define what is meant by “results”.

What I mean is prospects to your business who become real paying customers.

What forms of social media marketing DO NOT generate prospects who become real paying customers:

  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • LinkedIn
  • Pinterest
  • Instagram
  • Etc, etc

Why not?

Who do you connect with via these social networking platforms? Friends and family.

Who do we generally NOT do business with? Friends and family.

OK, so what does work?

Generating fresh content for your blog, multiple time each day, where each blog post contains a clear call to action.

Isn’t this called blogging?

It certainly is, and done right, it is what DOES delivery customers to your business!

Why does it work?

First, by generating A LOT of relevant posts you attract your audience to your website.

You know they’re your audience because they came through organic search. The entered a search query which matched the content of your website. If they were not your audience, they would never have found your website in the first place.

Second, you urge them to contact you (to drop into your sales funnel) so you can follow up with them.

Trust me, blogging is the absolute King of Social Media.

When you have a puddle to deal with, do you empty the water or do you fill the space so it absorbs the water?

Does your business need more web traffic, more leads, and more customers?
