Small Business Marketing Strategy Question: Who Do You Sell To?

Who Do You Sell To? Be Specific

This is the same question as “Who is your ideal customer?“, but reworded for a slightly different perspective. Ideal is a rather abstract concept. To make it more concrete think of who does (or is most likely to) give you money in exchange for your goods and services.

The first thing to understand is nobody sells to:

  • Everybody
  • All [fill in the blank]

To illustrate this point, I’ll talk about this business, Inbound Marketing University.

Who we sell to

The owners or the person within the business directly responsible for marketing. People who understand the value of and are willing to put in sweat equity to get results.
