Small business marketing strategy: How to earn authoritative links

Link building strategy for small business does not really require a huge budget but does require the production of useful high quality content you publish on your business website.

For small business, it can be tricky when competing with large business that have money and have made their name great on the market. The key here is to find a niche your larger competitor is ignoring.

In this post, I am sharing some of the link building strategies to help your business regardless of its size.

Product or service development

For small business, put effort and time into developing relationships with websites who review products or services. It is often the case that a review contains a link back to a page on your website.

Link connection

Find other websites that has linked to at least two or three other website links with similar content to what you provide. Contact them to let them know you exist, and keep in touch at regular intervals. Put reminders on your calendar so you don’t forget.

Tactical blogging

Blogging has the ability to connect small business with the audience or customers, when you publish useful stuff.

Some of the tips that you can use on your blogging to increase links (and also drive more traffic) includes 1) creating relevant content 2) providing keyword rich contents or phrases within your content and 3) inviting other businesses to contribute on your content, and 4) offering to guest write articles on other people’s websites.

PAY ATTENTION HERE: Engagement marketing

Schedule time to engage with other like-minded businesses. This is the GREATEST way to acquire free links. Small businesses working to compete against bigger brands with bigger budgets need to help each other. When it comes to link building for your small business website, there is strength in numbers.
