Local SEO Marketing Experts Disagree about Lead Generation

A prior post started to give an overview of why experts sell you on the fact that they can generate leads for your business through local SEO marketing disagree on what works and what doesn’t.

This post picks up where that left off.

Zippe.biz provides Local SEO Marketing training, consulting, and implementation.

It’s the age old story of the blind men and the elephant. Six blind men had heard of elephants, but never had a direct and personal experience of one. One day, someone took all seven to an elephant. They all touched a different part and they all “knew” based on the direct and personal experience what an elephant was like.

  1. The man who touched the trunk knew an elephant is like a snake.
  2. The make who touched the tusk knew an elephant is like a spear.
  3. The man who touched the ear knew an elephant is like a curtain.
  4. The man who touched the torso knew an elephant is like a wall.
  5. The man who touched the leg knew an elephant is like a tree trunk.
  6. The man who touched the tail knew an elephant is like a broom.

They then spent the rest of their lives arguing about what an elephant was like. Since each had a direct and personal experience, each knew they were right, and each therefore concluded the others were wrong.

Lead generation through local SEO marketing is much bigger than that elephant, and since the details of the search algorithm’s are trade secrets the search engines do not reveal, we are all working blind.

So don’t trust stories, trust success stories.
